Takohachi Japanese Restaurant

Sometimes when I crave the 1$ sushi, I drive 40 minutes to dine in here. So far, all of the items I've ordered tasted great and even if I had a complaint, I would feel guilty to say anything about it because it's just one dollar. I usually spend 25 to 35 dollars to order a variety and will continue to do so!

Very elegant and accessible place. They serve big portions and for reasonable prices. We liked the meals very much and the staff members were very welcoming and explanatory. I recommend this place.

I dine in this place a lot! This is the best place to grab a bite. I go there frequently. The food is great, the staff is professional and the payment is reasonable. I like going in this restaurant over a decent meal.

One of my favorite place. they have first restaurants in bethesda I've been there for more than 7years, now they have new store in Arlington. Foods are always good. Specially $1sushi quality is best!

$1 nigiri is the best! Also had an eel bowl and a salmon onigiri, both great.

At $1 for fresh nigiri, you really can't beat that. Takohachi offers a no-frills experience and is in a convenient location for me to get great sushi. If you're looking for fast delivery, I'd recommend going earlier in the day, as it gets busy the later it gets, but that's because people enjoy the food! My husband and I have been on the road and traveling and so sick of fast food. We came here by accident and it was the best accident to happen. The food is fresh and delicious

We have been searching for the sushi chef who left Yoshi Sushi for a couple of months. We are so glad we find him at Takohachi, which has a grand opening three weeks ago. We really enjoyed grilled squid leg and port belly. Curry tonkotsu ramen is also really good.

Reliably great Japanese food at reasonable prices.

We (A group of 3) arrived shortly after 8 on a Friday evening. The waitress seated us and disappeared. We eventually got 2 menus but no body explained to us that there were 2 different kinds of individual sushi ordering sheets, one for single pieces and one for rolls. The place was pretty empty but the waitress disappeared on us several times, we don't where. The sushi was okay for strip mall sushi and the prices were reasonable. I was even okay with the bad service until they came to us at 10:00 and said we had to start heading out as they were closing up.

Base off my experience of eating poke from California and growing up in Hawaii, their poke bowl is up there and it’s only $7, no where can beat that. We came here to try their $1 nigiri but had to order another poke bowl because it was just so good. Skip their takoyaki though, barely a piece of octopus in there and it’s really small. Edit: The freshness of the fresh is a hit or miss. On some days it’s really fresh, then on other days, it’s not fresh at all.

I am still trying to find my dish here. Tried the grilled sardine, the grilled pork and the monkfish and a few others. Ok but not really good.

Love this place! There are always plenty of guests but I've never had to wait for a table. Sushi is reasonably priced and high quality. Service has always been great. Staff are friendly and efficient.

They were wonderfully accomodating when we initially forgot to mention an allergy. Good food, great service, amazing price.

This restaurant is incredibly delicious. I've had their $1 sushi and gotten a few pieces, different types of fish. I've also gotten their teriyaki salmon bento box. You can tell the food is fresh and that both the chef in the back and the sushi chef take pride in the dishes they make. I appreciate a restaurant even more with employees like that.

Nice little Japanese restaurant in my neighborhood. This was my first visit and was recommended by several neighbors on our list serve. The service was fast, the sushi was was fresh and sized perfectly. I really dislike nigiri that is so large that you gave to bite it. The meal was a bargain, with the nigiri at $1 per piece. This is going to be our go-to dinner out place.
